Take care everyone and happy Holidays! I, sadly, have to work today. Fun stuff...I know...but it's the only way I can get the money to pay for my "movie fix". lol I wish you all a great day and thanks again! ]]>

According to Empire, the remake for "Escape From New York" has been dumped by Warner Bros. and New Line and now appears dead (at least for now). The original "Escape From New York" starred Kurt Russell as Snake Plissken. Gerard Butler, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hardy and Josh Brolin were all considered for the role of Snake Plissken before the studios opted not to move forward with the project. Breck Eisner, Len Wiseman, Brett Ratner and Jonathan Mostow all considering directing the remake.

<![CDATA[SORRY FOR THE DELAYS!]]>Wed, 20 Jul 2011 07:16:16 GMThttp://www.silverscreenhub.com/blog/sorry-for-the-delaysHello all my loyal blog readers! I am very sorry for the delays recently to my blog and site. I have been very busy at work the past week and have had computer problems. I have not meant to leave you so long without updates though. There has been plenty of movie and tv news lately and I will try to catch up very soon. I will also be adding a blog section for Demon Flash Bandit very soon. Thank you very much for visiting my site and sticking by it. I will try to keep the site more up to date in the future even if it will require me getting help to do so. Until next time, have a wonderful day and try to enjoy the summer (if you can avoid burning up like I am currently doing. lol). ]]><![CDATA["THE EVIL DEAD" IS BEING REMADE!]]>Wed, 13 Jul 2011 05:42:37 GMThttp://www.silverscreenhub.com/blog/the-evil-dead-is-being-remade
Bloody Disgusting and Bruce Campbell (a hero of mine) have confirmed that a remake of "The Evil Dead" is in the works. Campbell revealed the news via Twitter that the series was getting the reboot treatment. Campbell admits that he is unlikely to star in the remake (although he doesn't rule out a cameo), but he will serve as a producer for the remake. Bruce Campbell also has nothing but praise for the script calling it awesome.

Bloody Disgusting is reporting that Sam Raimi will not be returning to helm the remake (which isn't too shocking) but a director has already been lined up to take over the franchise. Federico Alverez will be directing the remake but Sam Raimi will still be serving as a producer for the project (along with Bruce Campbell). A remake of "The Evil Dead" has been in the works for about seven years now. Seann William Scott was at one time rumored to be taking over the role of Ash. I actually think Scott or perhaps Ryan Reynolds could do a good job in the remake. The original "The Evil Dead" starred Bruce Campbell, Ellen Sandweiss, Betsy Baker and was directed by Sam Raimi.

<![CDATA[RUMOR: QUENTIN "RAMPAGE" JACKSON TO PLAY LUKE CAGE?]]>Wed, 13 Jul 2011 05:26:06 GMThttp://www.silverscreenhub.com/blog/rumor-quentin-rampage-jackson-to-play-luke-cage
Thanks to a couple of great sources, Marvel Movies and Mark "RorMachince" Cassidy at ComicBookMovie, I am able to share a link to a podcast in which Quentin "Rampage" Jackson talks about possibly playing the Marvel comic book character Luke Cage sometime in the future. The discussion begins around 21-22 minutes into the podcast. Jackson was asked if he would ever be interested in playing Luke Cage in the future. Jackson revealed that he had met with Marvel a long time ago about playing the character in a film. Marvel must have some interest in him for the role of Luke Cage if they had a meeting with Jackson. Of course, that doesn't mean that Jackson will end up playing the character and it's possible Marvel Studios may never do a movie based on the character. One thing is for sure, Jackson seems game to play the character should Marvel ever decide to cast him as Luke Cage. Quentin "Rampage" Jackson is best known to movie going audiences as B.A. in last summer's reboot of "The A-Team".

<![CDATA[RUMOR: WILL RALPH FIENNES AND JAVIER BARDEM JOIN THE CAST OF "BOND 23"?]]>Wed, 13 Jul 2011 05:15:02 GMThttp://www.silverscreenhub.com/blog/rumor-will-ralph-fiennes-and-javier-bardem-join-the-cast-of-bond-23
Ralph Fiennes and Javier Bardem have been long rumored to be playing villains in the upcoming James Bond film (simply titled "Bond 23" for now) for awhile now but it now looks like the rumors may be closer to facts now. The Daily Mail is reporting that Ralph Fiennes and Javier Bardem have already joined the project. While this isn't confirmed yet, the source is usually pretty reliable.

In other "Bond 23" news, Naomie Harris is said to be in final negotiations to play Miss Moneypenny in the upcoming 007 film. Assuming Harris signs on, she will be joining a cast which includes Daniel Craig and Judi Dench (and possible Javier Bardem and Ralph Fiennes). Eon has only confirmed that Harris has met with producers at this point though. "Bond 23" will be directed by Sam Mendes and released on November 9, 2012.
