While promoting his latest film "Sucker Punch", Zack Snyder confirmed to Latino Review that Viggo Mortensen is no longer in the running for a role in "Superman: Man of Steel". Latino Review asked Snyder if Mortensen was still a person of interest in the upcoming reboot now that he has signed on to the upcoming "Snow White and the Huntsman" film and Snyder had this to say, "Yeah Viggo is not going to be in the movie let’s say that right now. I can clear that up." So, that still leaves Daniel Day-Lewis as a person of interest in the role of General Zod (assuming the rumors are true). It is unlikely that Day-Lewis will agree to do a film this big, but it is not impossible. If General Zod is the villain, perhaps Zack Snyder should cast his "300" star and friend Gerard Butler. Just a thought...
